"When Colorado resident Sujey Pando became perhaps the first in the nation to receive a reprieve from her imminent deportation, only days after President Obama announced that the Department of Homeland Security would temporarily halt deportation proceedings against 300,000 non-criminal immigrants, it seemed a good sign to the many undocumented immigrants in the U.S. Now, several weeks after the policy shift, the news continues to be good for many, although others seem to be falling victim to the confusing ambivalence of Obama’s announcement."
